Our Team

Meet Elizabeth, an interdisciplinary artist and theatrical designer. As an artist, her practice involves using visual and experiential storytelling to address issues of social justice and climate change. Elizabeth works across a variety of mediums, including immersive theatre, dance, film, scenography, and multimedia. Her design portfolio spans over 100 productions across the US (Broadway, Off-Broadway, LORT), Europe, and Asia and includes collaborations with companies like The Public Theater, the Kennedy Center, and Third Rail Projects. Elizabeth was also a contributor to the Sustainable Production Toolkit (sustainableproductiontoolkit.com), a free step-by-step guide to making your performing arts organisation more sustainable. Elizabeth received her MFA from the Yale School of Drama and BA from Harvard College. elizabethmak.com.

Meet Shawn, an experienced operator of tech start-ups. He was one of the co-founders of the Softbank-backed fintech Better.com and a board member of its subsidiary BMTG Advisors. He is currently working on a new venture in the mortgage space. On the side, he serves as a Venture Partner at Iterative (a Y-Combinator-style incubator for Southeast Asia) and mentors early-stage start-up founders. In his spare time, he enjoys competitive squash, kayaking, and cooking Singaporean food.

Rainshadow is made out of a group of artists, thinkers, engineers, and researchers coming together to make art centered on the environment and climate change.
